Let’s take a look at the swatches!
Sky Jinks is a bright medium blue cream. Let me just say that I’m absolutely blown away by how nice the KBShimmer creams are. I’ve purchased quite a few of their glitters in the past from Katie, but this is my first experience with their creams. They’re just about perfect in every way as far as creams go in opacity, finish, and application!
This was an easy, breezy, beautiful 1 coater! Enough said!
Honeydew List is a soft dusty pastel green. The muted tone of this green makes it quite unique in my collection.
Great formula, smooth and opaque in 2 even coats and finishing with a glossy shine.
Make My Gray is a soft gray (almost an off white) crelly base filled with turquoise blue, gunmetal gray, aqua and coral glitter in varies sizes of square and hexagon shapes. I really LOVE the combination of colors here!
It’s such a glitter bomb that not only did I have no trouble with picking up the glitters, in fact, the brush almost had too much glitter. I’d suggest you to wipe off all of the glitter from one side of the brush on the bottle neck, then apply using only the remaining polish. But all in all, I had no trouble spreading it. 2 coats was all I needed to reach full opacity. And you know how I like a completely smooth finish, so I topped this off with 2 coats of Glossy Glam top coat.
When I saw the 3 bottles, I immediately knew I wanted to create a nail art using all of them. I’ve always thought KBShimmer has one of the prettiest logo designs, and it was super fun to paint them in alternating black and white designs on my nails! I used a large dotting tool to block in the flower petals, then with my trusted Pure Color No. 10 nail art brush, I painted the stem connecting all 3 flowers and the line details on each petal. Finally, I finished it all off with a small dotting tool in matching base color for the pollen detail. It’s really simple but I loved the overall look!
As far as I know, Harlow & Co is the only online e-tailer outside of the US that carries KBShimmer. I got all of mine from there. What do you think? Have you tried KBShimmer before? What’s your favorite way to wear glitters? Let me know in the comments!
Thank you so much for reading and have a great week!
