Hi everyone! I created this blog as a haven for creativity, imagination and joy—where I share my inspirations from nature, music, colors, patterns, design, architecture, culture, literature, movies, and life on the tiny canvases of my nails. I believe in constantly learning, challenging, and improving myself in life. This also holds true for my blog. My hope is to bring you along my journey of sharing my current, and discovering the new-to-me, polishes, brands, nail art designs and techniques through my photos and words.
My passion for nail polish began a few years ago. Then, about two years ago, I started reading some great nail blogs, which opened my eye to the vast and creative nail world: from the types of polishes out there, to the endless nail art creations, and finally to the industry leading polish brands and the ever innovative indie makers.
What I love most about nail art is the combination of limitless colors, textures and effects that all work harmoniously together to fuel my imagination and creativity. What’s more, the nature of nail polish means that depending on my mood, my outfit, or my current social activities, I can put on any manicure and remove it with a single wipe on the same day or wear it for several days. Such flexibility suits me perfectly!
Also, for those who are wondering about the origin of my blog name, I combined the words ‘lacquer’ with ‘attitude’ and ‘étude’ to create “Lacquertude”. On the one hand, lacquer with attitude represents the expression of my various moods, perspectives, and ideas through colors and designs on my nails. On the other hand, ‘étude’ is French for ‘study’, and is an instrumental musical composition, usually short, of considerable difficulty, and designed to provide practice material for perfecting a particular musical skill (credit: Wikipedia)—so, the study of lacquer represents my passion to perfect my nail polishing techniques through the creation of nail art. My absolute favorite étude is by Frédéric Chopin, Op. 10 No. 3. If you’re interested, you can find the interpretation of this piece by one of my favorite concert pianists, Lang Lang, here.
I hope that this place of imagination, beauty, and creativity will provide you a time of escape— where you will find joy and inspiration!
Have a wonderful day, and thank you so much for reading!

Thank you so much for such kind words <3 I would love to help. The only thing is I don't use nail art pens because I haven't found any good ones. I usually use nail art brushes, very skinny ones, you can see a picture and a tutorial here. Can you tell me again your question about textures? I would love to help in anyway I can, but I don’t understand the question.
